 the sep at millfield school

Millfieldlogo
This is a new project for Millfield School this year. We chose to start it after one of our U6 suggested it as a really good way to help a fantastic charity and develop our entrepreneurial skills in the process.

 SEP business ideas

As well as our featured idea on the right, Social Entrepreneurs at Millfield have completed the Project successfully with ideas such as:

  • <<Put in your school's top enterprise ideas here>>

Millfield social entrepreneur
We see hope in <<insert pupil name>>.

<<Replace this text with ~100 words about a successful Social Entrepreneur from your school. Becki Long, now in Year 12 at Luckley-Oakfield School, first heard about the SEP when she was in Year 10. She and some friends tried various ways of turning their tenners into £100 with mixed success until they hit on the idea of making custom-designed hoodies and polo shirts. They targeted girls going on school trips and made £317 profit. In Year 11, Becki continued with the business and shrewdly expanded the market to school leavers. She increased the profit margin by switching to a local printer who, knowing the school and HOPEHIV, offered her a good discount. She made another £665, bringing her total profit to an amazing £982!>>

<<insert a quotation from the pupil in italics here. This project has given me a great experience... I hope to continue raising more money in the future. >>
